The first large scale of pv storage system in Mozambique, 19kw with 7kwh battery, the plant, which is the first utility-scale solar and energy storage plant in the country, is the result of a partnership between Globeleq, energy developer Source Energia, and Mozambique's national utility, Electricidade de Moçambique (EDM). The project represents a significant step forward for Mozambique's efforts to develop a more sustainable, diversified energy mix. It is expected to provide clean, reliable power to the region, and will be an important source of energy for local communities and businesses. The project also demonstrates the growing importance of renewable energy in the region, and the potential for solar power to contribute to the development of sustainable, low-carbon energy systems in Africa. With its proven track record in delivering high-quality renewable energy projects, Globeleq is well-positioned to continue driving this transition towards a more sustainable energy future for Mozambique and beyond.
