KenGen, the state-owned electricity generating company in Kenya, has launched a tender for consultancy services for a 42.5 MW Ground On Grid Solar System and Solar Storage System in Embu County. The Seven Forks project is expected to take 58 months to complete and the chosen consultant will oversee and manage the project, including engineering and design duties, project and contract management, and installing and integrating two Solar Storage System of at least 5 MWh each.
The project also requires experience in supervising two 132 kV substations and transmission lines, as well as a track record of designing and supervising at least two Ground On Grid Solar System, each at least 50 MW in size, in the past decade. The tender also requires experience in Sub-Saharan Africa.
