In October, Raysol, together with its local partner in the Czech Republic, has commenced construction of a 500kw rooftop pv system at Ferona a.s Steel Servis Centre in Hradec Králové.
With over 190 years of experience in the wholesale, storage, processing, logistics, and sale of metallurgical products, Ferona a.s is one of the largest and earliest establishments in the EU.
The rooftop pv system, which started in October 2024, involves the installation of 1,315 high-efficiency 380w flexible solar panels and five sets of 100kw on-grid solar inverters. The flexible solar panels is quite remarkable for its light weight and bendable characters, required minimum weighting on rooftop, are being installed on 67 rooftop skylights and some sections of the factory's foiled and congregated metal rooftop.
Raysol's local partner has a wealth of experience in building solar projects on rooftops, having commissioned numerous on-grid solar and battery energy storage systems over the past four years. The project is expected to be completed by the end of November 2024 and will be connected to the grid shortly afterward.
The meticulous planning, scheduling, and design of this project will ensure the system successful commissioning. This would be an important milestone for a tradition steel industrial company to turn to green energy for ECO co-existing and taking good use of solar power to reduce the company energy bill, and make steel industry greener than ever before.
